The Fries knew it was a different day,
It was gonna be different,
They were gonna be
In their fryer
Like always
But there’d be a visit
From the Hamburger…

So the fries did their best,
To not let the oil fry them too much
Too not be soggy,
To be fresh and crisp
To put a little extra effort
Into being Fries on this day,
Because the Fries know
They are the best side dish to any Hamburger,
That any Hamburger needs fries to lure eaters in,
Salty and tempting, always good for making
Hamburger taste better,
You can’t forget the Fries.
Unless you’re planning to transition to Onion Rings,
which make one’s breath stink,
stink like the absence of a Hamburger
who will not greet the Fries Together
only as individuals
Because a small fry knows its place.
